
Char Mason,a Saint Paul native and University of Minnesota graduate, launched Char Mason & Associates, a communications and events business, in 1999. Some of her clients include the Saint Paul Mayor's 2006 Inaugural, Hormel Foods Corporation, the Saint Paul Riverfront Corporation, Grand Excursion, Inc., the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Before opening her business, Char served for four years as Executive Director of the Grand Avenue Business Association, a 200-member retail/restaurant/professional association, and Festival Director of Grand Old Day, the Midwest’s largest one-day street festival. Prior to that experience, she directed marketing and events for the interior design and home furnishings industries at International Market Square in Minneapolis.
Char is a current Board member of Neighborhood House, a non-profit agency devoted to community building for diverse populations. She is also an active member of the International Festivals & Events Association, the American Marketing Association, the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and the Saint Paul Convention & Visitors Bureau.
